Food in Darwin
Darwin is home to some amazing restaurants and cafes and we recommend you stay by the water so you can enjoy your meal and the view at the same time. It seems that up in the top end they know there is nothing quite like a hard earned thirst so there are plenty of bars and pubs to cater to everyone's tastes.
We also recommend you try the food and drink at the markets and pick up some fine local produce. The Parap Markets on a Saturday are particularly great with some of the best fresh fruit smoothies around. The Mindil Beach Sunset Markets are also not to be missed as you can take your meal down to the beach to watch the sunset.
As you can imagine the people of Darwin are proud of their local produce and so they host a variety of Festivals throughout the year to showcase this.
